Montgomery and Oppenheim play together as “Big Dog Little Dog”, and created an album showcasing their amazing songs. Each piece was created with one or more technique, and with different emotions intended as well. While practicing they figured possibilities of different sounds by hitting the strings of their instruments with sticks instead of normal bowing techniques, and this created new and dynamic sounds. They also tapped or scratched their wooden instruments, to create sounds that no normal instrument would make.
While creating the poster I wanted to keep the natural theme they demonstrated throughout their songs. Since, the songs were a reflection of nature, I decided to have the overall peaceful mood. The pale, misty mint green background, the countless rings were a representation of trees, logs and many other things that belong in nature. Every aspect on the poster has a meaning. And finally with this magnificent poster, I created a vinyl. Both of these projects were fun to create and throughout both of these projects I got the chance to discover the full album of “Big Dog Little Dog”, and I listened to it on repeat with pleasure.
